Diane holds a B.S. from Southern Illinois University and has studied in France at Atelier Neo Medici. She also spent two years at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

This background of art history, liberal arts, modern and old style traditional instruction provides her with uncanny insight and unique skills. Diane studied underneath the direction of Patrick Betaudier, an “old style” master painter and director of Atelier Neo Medici in Verneuil-sur-Seine, France.

Diane’s background also includes studies at the world renowned School of the Art Institute in Chicago. This school is known as an innovator in the arts since its inception more than 100 years ago, and is internationally esteemed as a school of art and design.

Her work “In the Arms of the Angel” was dedicated to those who lost their lives at Columbine High School, and received publicity in the Chicago Tribune. She received recognition as a finalist out of 13,000 applicants in the “Still-Life Competition” in Artist's Magazine.
